Articol is a simple app. One painting a day, a guided tour, nothing else. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. There are no surprises.
Articol collects very little. Specifically:
We do not collect your name, email address, location, usage analytics, or any personally identifiable information.
If you grant notification permission, Articol schedules a daily local notification to remind you to look at the day's painting. This notification is generated entirely on your device. No data leaves your device as a result of this feature.
You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
The Articol widget displays the same daily painting as the app. It reads from the same bundled artwork library on your device. No network request is made to display the widget.
All data Articol uses is stored on your device. Your open history and streak are also synced privately via iCloud Key-Value Store so your data survives if you reinstall the app or switch devices. This sync uses your Apple ID and is handled entirely by Apple. We never access or see this data.
Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. iCloud-synced data can be cleared from iOS Settings under your Apple ID.
Articol does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is appropriate for all ages.
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, note it in the App Store release notes.
